Image Registration

Image registration is often used as a preliminary step in multi-modality image processing and analysis applications. Registration may be necessary if datasets have to be aligned so that corresponding image content coincides spatially. Automatic registration, as well as manual adjustments, are available to rotate or translate a dataset.
